After conducting business at the Annual Meeting of the Associated Press, an overview of the use of terrorism to achieve political goals was presented. Kathleen Carroll interviewed Major General Martin Dempsey via satellite from Baghdad about the political goals of terrorists in Iraq and what support they receive from the people. Ms. Abu Nasr spoke about what is driving terrorism. Mr. Perry spoke about the impact of terrorism on Europe. Ms. Shrader spoke about the concerns of national security officials.
