In the book, a continuation of Keeping Faith, the author continues the story of his experiences as the father of a young Marine deployed to the Middle East for the second Gulf War. In Faith of Our Sons, Mr. Schaeffer includes letters from relatives of military personnel serving overseas, as well as from those who have lost friends and family members in combat.
