Witnesses testified before the House International Relations Committee about the September 11 Commission’s recommendations for changes at the Department of State. They discussed State Department plans to prosecute the "War on Terror". Other areas of discussion included changes in immigration law and visa procedures, proposals to engage more actively in education efforts abroad, and changes in U.S. patterns of diplomacy. The witnesses responded to questions from members of the committee. close
