Author Robert O’Harrow talked about his book, No Place to Hide, published by The Free Press. He described the relationship between individual privacy and technology and explained how databases tracked everyone’s electronic transactions and could create complete profiles based on personal data. The author said that the same technology being used to track terrorists and persons of interest was also being used by companies to market products to consumers based on purchasing trends. After his presentation, the author answered audience members' questions.

Mr. O’Harrow has been a Pulitzer Prize nominee for his articles on technology and individual privacy. close
