President Bush spoke to reporters about the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA). He asked Congress to quickly debate and pass the legislation. President Bush said that by passing CAFTA, the United States would benefit from duty-free exports and open more markets. He also discussed how CAFTA would promote democracy, security, and prosperity in the democracies of Central America and the Dominican Republic. close
