Marji Ross talked about the rise of conservative media in the United States and what that has meant for Regnery, a conservative publishing house. She argued that radio host Rush Limbaugh started a conservative “tidal wave” that has transformed the largely liberal make-up of the media in this country. She also talked about the influence of Fox News, Matt Drudge, and Bernard Goldberg (whose book Bias: A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News was one of Regnery’s overall bestsellers). She responded to questions from members of the audience.

The talk, titled “Conservative Media and the Marketplace,” was the monthly Conservative Women’s Network lecture and lunch of the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute and the Heritage Foundation. close
