Tony Blankley discussed his book, The West’s Last Chance: Will We Win the Clash of Civilizations? published by Regnery Publishing. It outlined the possibility of Europe surrendering to militant Islamic fundamentalists, and what the United States can do to prevent it. Mr. Blankley spoke about his career, early life as a child star, and a meeting with Barry Goldwater that converted him from being a Democrat to supporting the Republican Party. Barbara Slavin interviewed the author.

Tony Blankley is the editorial page editor of the Washington Times, a nationally syndicated columnist, former press secretary to then Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, and a former speechwriter and senior policy analyst to President Ronald Reagan.
