Prime Minister Blair responded to questions and comments from members of his party and the opposition. Among the topics he addressed were international weapons inspections in Iran and the resignation of a member of Prime Minister Blair’s cabinet. During the week, David Blunkett resigned as a member of Tony Blair’s cabinet. He had been accused of a breach of conduct over his links to a private company. Prime Minister Blair, who defended Mr. Blunkett until he resigned, took questions on his handling of the situation and his loss of support. There were also questions about the anti-terror bill that the House of Commons is currently debating. Mr. Blair argued that the law is vital to national security. close
