Members of the House of Representatives debated amendments and legislation facing the House. Among the legislation that was facing the House was H.R. 5, the Workplace Fairness Act. It was also known as the Striker Replacement bill. This bill prevented employers from hiring permanent replacements to those employees that were on strike. This bill did not increase the federal budget. close
