President Bush and Prime Minister Blair spoke to reporters about their meetings and policy in Iraq. Following brief remarks they answered questions from reporters about the formation of an Iraqi unity government, the security situation in the country, possible future reduction in military presence in the country, and their commitment to democratic change. In answer to a question about mistakes made on Iraq policy, President Bush said he regretted challenging insurgents in Iraq to “bring it on” in 2003, and said the same about his statement that he wanted Osama bin Laden “dead or alive.” He also said that prisoner treatment at the Abu Ghraib prison had hurt the U.S. image abroad. close
