A panel discussion was held on reconstruction efforts in Lebanon following the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. Much of Lebanon’s civilian infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and power plants, was destroyed and the political structure was compromised. The panelists discussed the priorities for reconstruction, funding from domestic and international agencies, the role of the Lebanese and other governments, and competition by outside actors seeking influence in Lebanon.
