Jessica Valenti talked about her book, Full Frontal Feminism: A Young Woman’s Guide to Why Feminism Matters. She argued that most young women are feminists, but they don’t like the word “feminism” because it has negative connotations for them. She talked about her views of feminism and the ways it serves women in the workplace, in society, in politics, and in family life. After her presentation she responded to audience members' questions.

Jessica Valenti is the founder and executive editor of Feministing.com. She blogs on the National Abortion Rights Action League’s website. close
