In the Fall of 2005, students from the University of New Orleans went out to different parts of the city to talk to people directly affected by Hurricane Katrina. The stories they collected and others that followed were housed in an archive at the university. Recently, selected stories from the archive were published as Voices Rising, a book by the University of New Orleans Press. The editor of and contributors to Voices Rising read selections from the book
and responded to audience members' questions. close
