In an event at the Heritage Foundation, panelists examined the Kemp-Roth tax cut legislation, authored by then-congressman Jack Kemp (R-NY) and Republican Senator William Roth (R-DE) during President Ronald Reagan’s administration. The event was held on the tenth anniversary of the enactment of the legislation, which was described as the cause of economic upturn during the previous decade, resulting in a net gain of 50,000 new jobs. The event also included a pre-recorded video statement from former President Ronald Reagan. close
