Raj Patel talked about his book Stuffed and Starved: The Hidden Battle for the World Food System (Melville House, April 25, 2008). In his book Mr. Patel explores the global food system and what he contends are its insufficiencies. He details how food is produced, marketed, and sold. He reports that currently more people are starving and more are overweight than at any other time in history. The guest interviewer was Evan Kleiman, host of NPR affiliate KCRW’s “Good Food” and owner of Angeli Caffe. The interview was recorded at BookExpo America in the Los Angeles Convention Center.
