Arguments were presented in Jones-Hamilton Company v. Beazer Materials. The case involved which of two companies was responsible for cleaning up toxic waste. Beazer manufactured chemicals including Noxtane in the 1970's. Jones-Hamilton was a chemical formulator, mixing and distributing chemicals. Jones sued Beazer to recover some of the cost of cleanup, saying that Beazer was equally responsible for contamination because it was under contract to Jones. close
