Anchor and Managing Editor for CBS News Dan Rather addressed the Press Club on the condition of journalism and freedom of the press in the United States. Prior to Mr. Rather’s speech, Kamran Kham was presented with the National Press Club’s International Freedom of the Press award. Traci Bauer accepted the National Freedom of the Press award. A special award went to Terry Anderson, an Associated Press journalist who was held hostage in Beruit for over six years. close
