The chief executive officers of publishing companies discussed the state of the book business. The discussion focused on changes in the industry due to the migration of content to the Internet and to digital formats. Topics included the restructuring of publishing companies, changes in book sales, the success of electronic books, future technological innovations, piracy, and integrating with the digital marketplace. The event at BookExpo America 2009 was moderated by Tina Brown until she could be relieved by her husband, Harold Evans, due to voice problems.
