President Obama and Russian President Medvedev held a joint press conference at the Kremlin. President Obama said the U.S.-Russia relationship has suffered over the past several years and vowed to reset ties. President Medvedev called the summit a “first step, but a very important step” to recharging relations.

The leaders also released a statement outlining new benchmarks for arms reduction, and answered questions on a number of issues including plans for a missile defense system in Poland and the Czech Republic. close
