The U.S. Postal Service issued “Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States,” a pane of four stamps honoring the contributions of Associate Justices Joseph Story (1812-1845), Louis D. Brandeis (1916-1939), Felix Frankfurter (1939-1962), and William J. Brennan, Jr. (1956-1990). The stamps were dedicated by Thurgood Marshall, Jr., a member of the U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors who is the son of an associate justice who was honored on a stamp in 2003. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, Postmaster General John Potter, and Yverne Moore, Washington, D.C., postmaster, also spoke at the ceremony honoring the contributions of the Supreme Court justices.
