Dr. Benjamin Carson talked about his life and career. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. The recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom rose from poverty to the top of the medical field as the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and professor emeritus of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University. Topics included the new health care laws and the current political situation. He reacted to a video clip of his remarks about taxes at the February 7, 2013, National Prayer Breakfast. A video clip was shown of him in his home near Baltimore, talking about how he writes.
Dr. Carson is the author of five non-fiction books: Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story; Think Big: Unleashing Your Potential for Excellence; The Big Picture; Take The Risk: Learning to Identify, Choose and Live with Acceptable Risk; and America the Beautiful: Rediscovering What Made This Nation Great. close
