Charlie Cook outlined some of the trends and factors that might shape the 2014 midterm and 2016 presidential elections. Regarding 2014, he predicted that Republicans were unlikely to lose their majority in the House of Representatives in 2014 and said Republicans would need to win six new seats while holding onto their own seats up for election to win the majority in the Senate. He also discussed the possible Democratic and Republican presidential candidates for 2016. close
