Charlie Cook talked about 2014 U.S. House and Senate elections, and gubernatorial races in Virginia and New Jersey on November 5, 2013, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. He predicted that control of the Senate would come down to six races Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana, Alaska, North Carolina, and Arkansas. Of the House, he said that the odds against Democrats gaining the 17 seats needed to win control was almost too difficult. barring more government shutdowns and debt ceiling battles.
