National Journal and The Atlantic hosted a conference to discuss the U.S. financial system five years after the market crash of 2008 and the state of Americans' personal finances. Sheila Bair gave a keynote address, followed by a panel discussion on America’s financial health. In addition, the panelists analyzed the results of the annual Heartland Monitoring Poll which concluded that most Americans feel well-equipped to make important financial decisions but remain concerned about the economy. close
