Members of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee marked up legislation to reform the U.S. Postal Service and get it out of debt. Following a lengthy debate and vote against Senator Rand Paul’s amendment to allow guns inside post offices, senators voted in favor of Senator Mark Begich’s amendment that would allow firearms in post office parking lots. The bill was passed by a 9-1 margin. close
