The Supreme Court heard oral argument on the Environmental Protection Agency’s regulation of greenhouse gas emissions. In 2007 the Court decided that the EPA could regulate greenhouse gases for motor vehicle emissions. The justices were considering whether the EPA misused that authority by imposing permit requirements on power plants and factories. In the case Utility Air Regulatory Group v. EPA was a consolidated with several other appeals into one case.
