Panelists talked about a just-released National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers report outlining ways the judiciary obstructs fair evidence disclosure in criminal cases. “Fair disclosure” requires prosecutors to reveal evidence they have that would benefit a defendant. Topics included the frequency with which information favorable to the defense is withheld by prosecutors, wrongful convictions, and judicial review.The panelists at the methodology used in compiling the report and offered recommendations for improvements. close
