John Lehman, former National Security Council member during the Nixon administration, talked about joining the foreign policy team under Henry Kissinger as well as President Nixon’s policies toward Vietnam and Cambodia during the early 1970s. He also spoke about the administration’s arms negotiations with the Soviet Union and some of the major American foreign policy players of that time.

These are excerpts from the interview conducted by Timothy Naftali on October 4, 2007, in New York City, as part of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library project to document the 37th president’s administration. close
