President Obama delivered remarks on the economy and clean energy jobs during a visit to Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The president announced a clean energy jobs program that would train 75,000 people to enter the solar energy workforce by 2020. He said the solar industry was adding jobs 10 times faster than the rest of the economy, and the program would also help military professionals returning from duty to transition into clean energy jobs. This was his first visit to the state as president. close
