The Brookings Institute hosted a seminar on “Overview of Election Results.” Representative Vin Weber, R-Minnesota, and Edward Rollins, chair, Perot Petition Committee, discussed the returns from the 1992 presidential and congressional elections and the causes of Gov. Clinton’s presidential victory. Issues raised in the speakers' remarks included the effect of independent candidate Ross Perot on the presidential election process and the mood of the electorate in 1992. Following their prepared remarks, the panelists responded to questions from the audience. close
