General Martin Brandtner and Admiral Michael Cramer briefed reporters on the current status of U.S. troops presence in Somalia as part of the U.N.-backed effort to distribute humanitarian aid to the famine-stricken population. Gen. Brandtner said phase one of the U.S. plan had been completed with troops' arrival in Baidoa, Somalia. Mr. Williams also responded to questions following the military officials' statements. close
