A large group of high school students and College Democrats gathered in the Smith Center at George Washington University to question public figures in a “Youth Town Meeting” sponsored by the Close Up Foundation during inauguration week in Washington, DC. Issues raised in the questions included education policies, national fiscal policies, and other domestic affairs. The second panel included two members of Congress who responded to questions on contemporary issues including foreign affairs and U.S. foreign policy. Ed Segal spoke briefly between panels on the Bill Clinton administration’s policies concerning young Americans. close
