President Obama spoke at a naturalization ceremony at the National Archives. He talked about the American tradition of welcoming immigrants and the contributions they make to society. He was joined by other officials, including Deputy Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. The ceremony included a presentation of colors, the national anthem, and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Leon Rodriguez. President Obama spoke in front of the Constitution on the 224th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights. The Preamble to the Constitution was read by a group of local middle-school students. close
