Fred Campbell and Matt Wood discussed the June 14, 2016, decision by a U.S. Court of Appeals upholding the Federal Communication Commission’s 2015 rule to regulate the internet like a utility and require internet service providers (ISP) to treat internet traffic equally without creating a way for ISPs to charge consumers more for speedier service. Fred Campbell, director of Tech Knowledge, opposed this decision, known as net neutrality, while Matt Wood, policy director at Free Press, supported it. close
