Security and military experts on Asia talked about the U.S.-Taiwan relationship. Panelists examined the regional security challenges facing Taiwan and China’s military incursions into disputed waters in the South China Sea.

In December 2015, the U.S. authorized $1.83 billion in weapons to Taiwan despite strong opposition from China. This was the first U.S. arms shipment to Taiwan in four years. close
