Richard Trumka spoke to reporters at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast on the labor movement agenda in the 2016 election. He harshly criticized Donald Trump, calling him a fraud and saying he was increasingly losing support among union members. In addition, Mr. Trumka discussed the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) saying he was confident the agreement would not pass in Congress. Other topics included Merrick Garland’s Supreme Court nomination and labor movement efforts to elect Hillary Clinton and Democratic congressional candidates. close
