Curator Leslie Wilson explained how the Concord Free Library acquires its items and showcased some of their rarer finds, including a portion of the manuscript for the book Little Women. The William Munroe Special Collections, located in the Concord Free Public Library, has an abundance of books, pamphlets and other source material dating back to 1635. Among their collections are items relating to Concord’s literary history.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2017 LCV Cities Tour” in Concord, Massachusetts, from June 17-22 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Comcast cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on Book TV on C-SPAN2. close
