Russian experts talked about a new Atlantic Council report detailing Russia’s exploitation of U.S. democratic institutions, specifically the judicial and financial systems. Other speakers included Russian critic and Hermitage Capital CEO William Browder, who addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal to question him and other Americans calling it an “unbelievable situation.” Following the event, the White House released a statement saying President Trump disagrees with Russia’s proposal. Mr. Browder previously was the largest foreign investor in Russia. In the event, Mr. Browder said was expelled from Russia for exposing corruption activities and President Putin has gone to Interpol numerous times in an effort to arrest him. close
