As part of a series of C-SPAN interviews with members of Congress who were retiring or lost in in the 2018 midterm elections, Representative Joe Crowley (D-NY) reflected on his life and political career. He discussed his his love for Bruce Springsteen, his family, and the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2011, specifically his cousin who was killed when the second World Trade Center tower came down. He highlighted a few career achievements, such as the Affordable Care Act and his work on the Irish peace process. He also spoke about his loss in Senator Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign in 2016. close
