The Heritage Foundation hosted a discussion on human rights in North Korea and how the topic should be addressed in nuclear disarmament negotiations. Panelists cited ongoing violations in North Korea, as well as how countries like the U.S., South Korea, China, and Japan have factored those violations into their dealings with North Korea. The speakers all advocated a tougher stance by the international community against North Korea and made recommendations for increasing pressure on the government of Kim Jong Un. close
