Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) spoke to reporters in the Capitol about President Trump’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria. He encouraged the president to change his mind, and warned of potentially harmful consequences for the U.S. and its allies, including Kurdish forces with whom U.S. forces had been working closely, if withdrawal plans were carried out. Senate Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Jack Reed (D-RI) and Foreign Relations Committee Ranking Member Bob Menendez (D-NJ) also made remarks in support of Senator Graham’s message. close
