Representative Tom Emmer (R-MN), the chair of the National Republican Congressional Committee, talked about the 2020 campaign with reporters at a Christian Science Monitor event. He responded to the “send her back” chants directed toward Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) at President Trump’s campaign rally in North Carolina. Representative Emmer said, “There’s no place for that kind of talk. I don’t agree with that.” He also said the president does not have a “racist bone” in his body. close
