The House Small Business Committee held a virtual hearing on proposals for aiding small businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Witnesses discussed the need for further stimulus in aiding small business recovery, the impact of the pandemic on minority-owned businesses, and how best to help businesses gain access to much needed capital, and the importance of investing in broadband and a digital infrastructure in rural communities. They also discussed the special challenges faced by restaurants and other hospitality industries due to the social nature of those businesses. close
