Patty Mitchell of the National Association of State Boards of Education and Lisa Walker, Director of the Policy Resource Institute for Educational Leadership, gave a joint presentation to the National Conference of State Legislatures on the importance of AIDS education. They talked about the medical costs of different treatments, infection rates, the unlikeliness of a cure or vaccine, and that the only tool to stop the disease is education. close
