U.S. Trade Representative Mickey Kantor briefed reporters on issues relating to the North American Free Trade Agreement, legislation that would lower tariffs between the U.S., Canada and Mexico in an effort to spur trade between the three countries. He announced that the U.S., Canada, and Mexico had come to an agreement on supplemental accords to the treaty concerning labor and environmental regulations in the three countries. close
