The Committee Against Discriminatory Crack Law, a committee sponsored by civil rights and social policy groups, held a symposium on U.S. drug laws entitled, “The Experts Speak.” The panelists participating in the symposium discussed alleged bias in drug laws, which may account for a higher rate of arrests and convictions for drug law violations among black males than among white males. During the symposium, Mr. Gregory and Reverend Lowery arose to speak on the nation’s drug policies. close
