Foreign Minister Shimon Peres outlined the reasons for the Knesset ratification of the Israel-Palestine peace agreement. Members screamed their descent from their positions on the floor while Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin watched from his position. Former Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir screamed from his seat about the how the Israeli leader has destroyed Israel and its people. The members voted on the confidence of the Knesset in the Rabin government. The vote total was 61-50 for the Rabin government. close
