The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee held a hearing on challenges facing drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Appearing before the committee was a panel of water industry experts, including representatives from DC Water and the Morgantown, West Virginia Utility Board. Several topics were discussed, including sustained investment in aging water systems, increased equity and access to underserved and unserved communities, climate change and extreme weather challenges, and the need for increased federal funding to utilities. close
