The White House COVID-19 Response Team held a briefing to discuss the latest efforts by the Biden administration to slow the spread of the virus and vaccinate Americans. Several topics were discussed, including building equity into testing and vaccine distribution, the effectiveness of the vaccines, increased testing and contact tracing among under served communities, and reopening schools safely. White House Senior Adviser for COVID-19 Response Andy Slavitt led the briefing, which also including the chief medical adviser to the president, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky. close
