He further stated that NATO expects the Taliban to uphold their commitments and for Afghanistan to not become a terrorist breeding ground. Secretary General Stoltenberg also discussed troop withdrawal, evacuation measures for NATO personnel and its Afghan partners, refugee relocation, and human rights concerns, especially for women, girls, and the Afghan citizens who worked with and helped NATO and its allies.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg held a briefing on the fall of Afghanistan. “The eyes of the world are on Afghanistan,” said the secretary general regarding Taliban control of the government.
